Today, on Monday, Deputy governor Ma’rib, Abd Rabbo Miftah, inaugurated a project to distribute Eid clothes to 1,200 orphans from Internally displaced families, as part of YemenIsCallingYou campaign launched by Al-Khair Foundation in partnership with Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB).
Mr. Miftah confirmed the start of distribution of Eid clothing to orphans in eight governorates under the scope of the campaign “YemenIsCallingYou” sponsored by Al-Khair Foundation, CRB and the Yemeni Donors.
He added that these great charitable activities organised all over Yemen are source of joy for orphan children who dream to have a safe and stable country. He thanked everyone who contributed in bringing smile and happiness to these children who need support and affection.
Director of the Executive Unit for the Displaced people, Saif bin Nasser Muthanna, said that this project targets 1,200 children, noting that there is immense need of help and relief projects in this sector and all other humanitarian sectors. He appreciated the campaign of “YemenIsCallingYou” and all the organisers of this campaign
“YemenIsCallingYou” was launched on March 25, 2022, with the participation of a number of Yemeni and Arab content makers, through the social media accounts of Yemeni poet Muhammad Al-Masmari, with the aim of raising one million dollars to help 20 thousand Yemeni families, and during the first phase fundraiser successfully collected 500,000 dollars.
Implementation phase was launched in the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan. Iftar meal project, distribution of financial aid, distribution of food baskets in Marib, Aden, Taiz and Hodeidah have been implemented till now , and different projects and relief activities are in progress in different governorates of Yemen
The campaign aims to implement following projects: distribution of food baskets and Iftaar meals, construction of water wells, distribution of financial aid and Eid clothing for children.
