The Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB) implemented today a project to distribute 70 electric wheelchairs to persons with disabilities in Marib Governorate, funded by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), under the patronage of the Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Marib Governorate, Major General Sultan bin Ali Al-Aradah. The project comes as part of ongoing efforts to support the most vulnerable groups and enable them to carry out their daily lives with dignity.
During the event, the Deputy Governor praised the humanitarian support provided by the Republic of Türkiye through the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), commending its interventions across various humanitarian sectors and its role in alleviating the suffering of the most vulnerable groups.
Dr. Muftah also praised the efforts of the Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB) in implementing humanitarian and development projects, emphasizing that these projects represent a model of effective partnership between donors and national organizations in serving the community.
For his part, the TİKA Yemen Program Coordinator, Mr. Zübeyir Yakar Yılmaz, expressed his pleasure at the implementation of the project, expressing his hope that the electric wheelchairs would help make the lives of the beneficiaries easier and enable them to move with greater freedom and independence. He also extended his thanks to all the project partners who contributed to the success of the project, affirming the Agency’s continued support for humanitarian projects within its available capacities.
The Chairman of the Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB), Dr. Kamal Al-Qadami, affirmed that the project reflects the Coalition’s commitment to implementing qualitative interventions that contribute to empowering persons with disabilities and improving their quality of life. He expressed his gratitude to the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) for its generous support, and to the local authority in Marib Governorate for its cooperation in ensuring the success of the project. He also affirmed the Coalition’s commitment to expanding its humanitarian partnerships to implement more initiatives that meet the needs of the most vulnerable groups and enhance their dignity.
The project targeted 70 persons with disabilities, who were provided with electric wheelchairs to assist them in mobility and accessing essential services. The wheelchairs also provide them with greater ability to carry out their daily lives with independence and dignity, enhancing their integration into society and reducing the burdens faced by them and their families.
This project comes within the framework of the humanitarian partnership between the Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB) and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), which aims to implement qualitative interventions that meet the needs of the most vulnerable groups and contribute to improving their living conditions.
