Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB) participated in the second edition of Tadhamon Forum for Development in Mukalla that brings together a group of international and UN humanitarian development sector workers.
Tadhamon Forum is organized by Aoun Foundation for Development and the Estidama Foundation for Capacity Development, as part of the “Empowering NGOs in Yemen” project, with the aim of empowering local organizations, keeping pace with the humanitarian response plan, networking and establishing partnerships to advance humanitarian work, and keeping pace with donor trends in the recovery, peace building and reconstruction phase in Yemen.
CRB was represented at this important event by Dr. Abdul Wahab Nasr Al-Sharabi, CRB’s advisor. He was one of a group of international and local experts and decision-makers to discuss sustainable solutions, building fruitful alliances between participants, planning for the next stage, and moving towards the recovery phase and bringing about real change in the country.
Tadhamon Forum, being held from November 24-26, included a number of sessions to discuss critical humanitarian issues, funding gap, opportunities to enhance humanitarian and development efforts, and other important topics for three days.
It is worth mentioning that Tadhamon Forum for Development is a prominent development event in Yemen, as it aims to empower local organizations, provides an opportunity for coordination and networking between participants, and works to spread awareness, knowledge, and field practices by opening up new horizons for development work in Yemen.
