Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB) held a meeting with the Shamil Bank of Yemen and Bahrain to discuss the experiences of banking institutions in financing and implementing small projects in the field of economic empowerment.
This meeting is a step forward to enhance cooperation and joint coordination with other institutions for the implementation of projects in the field of economic empowerment.
Dr. Ibrahim Al-Sharafi, Director General of CRB, said, “Through these meetings, we seek to understand experiences of banking institutions in microfinance and economic empowerment projects, so that we can empower people economically, and contribute to the rehabilitation process of the society and to the achievement of sustainable development.
Dr. Yousef Al-Darwani, Head of Economic Empowerment Programs at CRB, pointed out that CRB seeks to establish partnerships with banking institutions that have experience in this field.
The Director of Shamil Bank of Yemen and Bahrain – Marib Branch, Mr. Abdulrahman Ziad, expressed their readiness to cooperate and coordinate jointly to implement microfinance and economic empowerment projects, expressing his admiration for the efforts and achievements of the Coalition of Relief and Building in various fields of humanitarian work.
It is worth noting that CRB also held a bilateral meeting with Al-Kuraimi Islamic Microfinance Bank and Al-Amal Microfinance Bank a few days ago to discuss the same topic and observe the challenges regarding these projects.
