Today, Governor Ma’rib, Dr. Abd Rabbo Miftāh, inaugurated “Thunyān al-Ghānim” primary school in
Al-‘Araq Al-Sharqi refugee camp. The project was funded by Kuwaiti Women Philanthropic Team and implemented by CRB (Coalition of Relief and Building).

In the inauguration ceremony, governor Marib praised ‘’Thunyān al-Ghānim’’ school project and other sustainable educational projects in the refugee camps. As, these projects are quite helpful in sharing the burden of education sector in Ma’rib, especially in the context of continuous migration of IDPs to Marib.

Mr. Miftāh (Governor Marib) stressed on the fact that this school is a great addition to the education sector. He stated that, this project will ensure continuity of the education as well as alleviate overcrowding in schools.

Mr. Miftāh also appreciated the generous support provided by the brotherly country Kuwait to their Yemeni brothers in every sector. Mr. Miftāh also praised CRB’s (Coalition of Relief and Building) important role along with other civil society organizations in the field of humanitarian and development work.

It is noteworthy that ‘’Thunyān al-Ghānim’’ School project, which was inaugurated today, has capacity to facilitate 450 students. School consists of 6 furnished classrooms, administration room, store room and 2 bathrooms.

The school proves CRB’s contribution in eradicating illiteracy, raising awareness among the IDPs and finding sustainable solutions for the education of IDP and poor children.
