Coalition of Relief and Building Visits OCHA Office in Marib

The Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB) participated in the coordination meeting held in Marib Governorate between the local authority and humanitarian partners. The meeting was organized by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), with the participation of UN agencies, international organizations, sector cluster coordinators, the Executive Unit for the Management of IDP Camps, and relevant government offices.
During the meeting, Yahya Qahtan, CRB’s representative and the Deputy Lead of the Food Security and Agriculture Cluster for the Marib Hub, delivered a presentation on the cluster’s 2025 report, highlighting key needs, existing gaps, and priority interventions in the field of food security—particularly in light of the increasing waves of displacement and the continued economic pressures facing displaced families and host communities.
Mr. Qahtan emphasized that food security challenges require strengthened coordination among all partners and ensuring that assistance is directed toward the most vulnerable households. He noted that Marib   continues to receive new displaced persons on an almost daily basis, placing additional strain on existing humanitarian programs and necessitating urgent action to maintain at least a minimum level of food security.
