Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB) organized a comprehensive workshop on Wednesday at CRB’s office in Marib to develop its Humanitarian Media Center

Dr. Kamal Al-Qudami, the Head of CRB,  made a speech to open the workshop, in which he emphasized the vital role of humanitarian media in reporting the humanitarian message, highlighting the plight of crisis-affected individuals, and mobilizing support  to alleviate their suffering.

The workshop brought together media professionals, humanitarian enthusiasts, and the Center staff. It  aimed to discuss the development of the Center’s work plan for the coming period, enhance its capabilities in the field of humanitarian media, and develop the skills of its staff.  

This workshop is supposed to contribute to strengthening media skills and capabilities for the Center’s staff to enhance its role in serving the local community and spreading humanitarian awareness, in light of the challenges facing humanitarian work in the current circumstances.

During the workshop, presentations were given on various aspects of the CRB   Humanitarian Media Center’s work. The Center’s media production plan for the upcoming period was discussed, as were mechanisms for enhancing media coverage of the Center’s activities and programs, expanding the reach of its message to various target groups, and emphasizing the importance of continuous training and development for the center’s staff to enhance their skills and capabilities in the field of humanitarian media and the use of its various tools.

The workshop participants emphasized the importance of such specialized centers in humanitarian media to strengthen  media men skills, and their role in serving the local community and spreading humanitarian awareness among organizations and institutions working in the humanitarian field.

The participants praised the CRB’s efforts in supporting humanitarian work, looking forward to seeing positive and tangible results reflecting the improvements that will develop the CRB Center’s performance following this workshop.

 At the conclusion of the workshop, the participants made recommendations aimed at strengthening the center’s work and improving its performance, developing the center’s work plan periodically to keep pace with developments in the  humanitarian work field, enhancing coordination and cooperation with various entities working in the field of humanitarian media, and expanding the scope of use of

various humanitarian media tools, including modern digital media.
