Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB) has inaugurated the project of “Anatolia Residential Complex”  in Marib Governorate in the presence of local authority represented by Marib Deputy Governor Dr. Abdu-Rabbo Miftah, Ministry of Education Undersecretary, Dr. Ali Al-Abab, and Executive Unit for IDPs Camps Management Assistant Director Dr. Khaled Al-Shajni. The project is funded by ”Turkiye Diyanet Vakfi”, and is part of shelter projects.

Located in an area crowded with displaced people, the project addresses many basic needs, as the complex offers an integrated housing environment with basic facilities, including 100  housing units, a ten-classroom primary school with annexes, a health unit, a well, tower tank, and water network with distribution points, and a child-friendly space. The project aims at improving the quality of life and providing a sustainable environment for affected families. It targets the most affected social groups including people with special needs and orphan families to meet their needs, safeguard their dignity, and contribute to achieving sustainable development goals.

At the opening ceremony, Marib deputy governor Dr. Abdu-Rabbo Miftah expressed his thanks and appreciation to the efforts of Coalition of Relief and Building, and ”Turkiye Diyanet Vakfi” for their efforts in providing infrastructure that serves the displaced in the field of shelter. He stressed that this project is of great importance and comes in its due time as Marib ,which lacks many development services, houses millions of displaced people.

For his part, the Assistant Director of the Executive Unit for the IDPs’ Camps Management in Marib Governorate, Dr. Khaled Al-Shajni, commended the Anatolia Residential Complex, emphasizing its significance in providing vital support to displaced individuals in the governorate. He highlighted the immense challenges faced by displaced families in various camps, citing the deteriorating housing conditions exacerbated by climate change and prolonged displacement.

He praised the project’s focus on delivering sustainable solutions, which is essential for restoring stability to affected communities.

On the other hand, CRB’s Director General, Dr. Ezz Al-Din Mithqal, stressed that the ‘Anatolia Residential Complex’ is a key part of the CRB’s vision to provide a safe and sustainable environment for the displaced. This project aims to ensure a better life for displaced individuals amidst the ongoing conflict and deteriorating living conditions.

Dr. Mithqal noted that the Anatolia Residential Complex offers a beacon of hope for many displaced persons, particularly those from vulnerable groups, who suffer from dire living conditions and the hardships of displacement.
