Today, Monday, CRB’s Head, Dr. Kamal Al-Qudami met the ambassador of Republic of Yemen to Malaysia, Dr. Adel Bahumid, to discuss the humanitarian situations and relief efforts in Yemen.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Qudami reviewed the relief and development efforts, and provided an introductory overview of the humanitarian projects implemented by CRB in different Yemeni regions, with the support of partners in international organizations.
The discussion also touched on Humanitarian Media Center that has been established recently, because of the worsening crisis and the increasing need for responsible and reliable humanitarian media to report the true picture of the humanitarian situations, and report the suffering of those affected in Yemen in order to mobilize the necessary support to alleviate their suffering.
The two sides discussed the joint coordination mechanism with Malaysian organizations, and the ways to develop strategic partnerships to implement sustainable relief and development projects that contribute to improving the conditions of IDPs and needy families in Yemen.
On the other hand, the Yemeni Ambassador to Malaysia praised the positive role played by Coalition of Relief and Building through implementing projects in different fields, especially those that meet the beneficiaries’ needs and contribute to achieving sustainable development goals.
Dr. Adel Bahumid stressed the importance of enhancing coordination between active humanitarian organizations in Yemen and Malaysian institutions to benefit from the available expertise and resources to support humanitarian efforts in Yemen.
