The Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB) concluded its humanitarian and developmental projects, emergency interventions, and sustainable development initiatives for the year 2023.
The number of beneficiaries from CRB’s projects during the year 2023 exceeded (1,127,728) individuals from various social backgrounds, across nine governorates of Yemen. This aimed to fulfill the needs of people and improve their quality of life.
CRB’s projects encompassed urban, rural, and remote areas, reaching individuals and vulnerable families in particularly war-affected regions. The projects included the distribution of food and clean water, provision of basic healthcare, support for education, reconstruction of damaged infrastructure, and providing safe shelter. This was carried out through a skilled and experienced team, efficiently fulfilling the needs of the people and enhancing the quality of life for the community.
A total of 952,778 individuals benefited from food security and livelihood projects, while 55,315 individuals benefited from water and sanitation projects. Additionally, 1,945 individuals benefitted from shelter and housing projects.
Health sector projects benefited 4,464 individuals, and the number of beneficiaries in the protection sector projects reached 9,771 individuals. In education sector projects, the number of beneficiaries exceeded 3,455 individuals.
Dr. Kamal Al-Qadami, the President of the Coalition of Relief and Building, said, “The CRB team,since its establishment, has shouldered the responsibility of alleviating the sufferings of Yemeni people. Ongoing conflict and the deterioration of the economic and living conditions have significantly impacted people’s lives, especially in vulnerable and remote communities.
Dr. Al-Qadami added, “CRB’s projects in various fields have significantly contributed to improving the living conditions of the beneficiaries and have worked to meet their needs.” He affirmed that this year has been very beneficial, and the implemented projects have addressed people’s needs and necessities.
The President of the Coalition of Relief and Building also explained that during the past year, CRB worked diligently to provide humanitarian, relief, and sustainable assistance to affected civilians.” He emphasized that CRB prioritized the most vulnerable groups, aiming to help them improve their living standards and address their needs.
The President of CRB also extends gratitude to the supporting partners, including organizations, businessmen, and donors who funded these projects. He commends the role of CRB team, fieldworkers, employees, and volunteers who played a vital role in the success of the projects. He pledges to continue efforts to meet both urgent and sustainable humanitarian needs.
