Inauguration of an alternative school and health center in Al-Sset camp in Marib

The Deputy Governor of Marib Governorate, Dr. Abd Rabbo Meftah, inaugurated today, Tuesday, an alternative school and a health center in Al-Sset camp, north Marib city, implemented by Coalition of Relief & Building (CRB).

During the inauguration, the Deputy Governor, Dr. Meftah thanked and praised CRB and the funders of the educational and health projects implemented in Al-Sset camp and the positive humanitarian role hoped for in strengthening the capabilities of the health and education sector in the governorate, stressing that the alternative school will return many male and female students to school, while the health center will fill a large gap with regard to health services in the camp.

For his part, General Director of CRB Mohammed Makharesh said that the opening of the alternative school and the health center in Al-Sset camp is a contribution from the coalition to alleviate the burdens faced by the education and health sectors, and to raise and improve opportunities to enroll in education and obtain health services in a stable and sustainable manner in the displacement camps.

Makharesh explained that the alternative school in Al-Sset camp includes 6 classrooms, an administration, a store, two bathrooms, a hangar roof, in addition to school furniture. The school accommodates 450 students. The health center, on the other hand, consists of diagnosis room, surgery and admission room, pharmacy, a bathroom and a hall. The health center is also fully furnished.

The inauguration was attended by the Director of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs “OCHA” Mr. Niazi, Director of the projects of Marib Education Office, Ahmed Alabbadi, the Director of Education Office in Majzar district and a large number of citizens.
