Today, Ammar Bin Yasir School has been opened in Al Jufainah camp, which is in the south of Ma’rib city, the capital of the Marib governorate.
The school building consists of six classrooms, administration office, storage room and two bathrooms. The school is fully furnished, with a total area of approximately 740 square meters, having the capacity to facilitate 300 male and female students.
The Ammar Bin Yasir School is an effort to eradicate illiteracy and increase awareness among the IDP’s.
Moreover, it is an attempt to find sustainable solutions for the education of internally displaced and poor children.
Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB) is striving to build alternative schools in IDP camps.
Thunyan Al-Ghanim elementary School in Al- ‘Arq Al-Sharqi camp is one of its last school projects. These schools are a contribution of CRB in alleviating the difficulties faced by the education sector in the aftermath of constant arrival of IDP’s in the governorate.
