Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB) is preparing to participate in a humanitarian campaign launched by Al-Khair Foundation and Hayat Yolu (Way to life), which aims to raise one million dollars to help 20,000 Yemeni families in the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.
Secretary-General of CRB Muhammad Makharesh said that the online fundraising campaign will start on Friday, March 25, 2022 at five o’clock in the evening. He stated that group of Yemeni and Arab content creators will participate in the online fundraiser.
Mr.Makharesh added that the campaign #YemenIsCallingYou will focus on emergency relief projects i.e. food baskets, Iftar meals, construction of water wells, financial support and Eid clothing for children.
Secretary-General of CRB indicated that the campaign is launched at a time when 20.7 million people need humanitarian assistance in Yemen, 19 million of them are facing food insecurity and can’t afford three regular meals in a day. Moreover, 4.2 million Internally displaced people (IDP’s) need shelter and accommodation.
He explained that it is possible to donate in the fundraiser from all over the world including Yemen.
He called on everyone to actively participate and raise voice for Yemeni people, either by donating or by urging people to share the fundraiser on social media and other platforms so that this campaign can reach its goals.
