Today, Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB) launched fourth phase of the housing project for people with disabilities. CRB implemented this project in Ma’rib with the funding of World Assembly of Muslim Youth.

The Deputy Governor of Marib, Dr. Abd Rabbo Miftah, praised the housing project which is dedicated to people with special needs, noting that it preserves the dignity of these families and alleviates their suffering, especially in these difficult times when the city of Marib is accommodating more than two million and three hundred thousand Internally displaced people (IDPs) from all governorates and witnessing a major housing crisis.

He wished that all humanitarian organizations should pay attention to the people with special needs and accommodate them in their humanitarian projects and contribute in developing sustainable solutions to their problems with regards to shelter, training, rehabilitation programs, and their integration into the society.

President CRB, Dr. Kamal Al-Qadami said that the project is the fourth of CRB’s contribution for people with special needs, and the forty-eighth in the field of shelter, which benefits the disabled people (cerebral palsy).

He added that the project consists of 10 housing units built with bricks, and each housing unit includes two rooms, kitchen, hall and a bathroom. Housing units are fully furnished and families have been provided food supplies, too. He stated that the project in its first and second phase included construction of 30 housing units for people with special needs in the governorate.

Beneficiaries of the project expressed their happiness for getting the housing units and thanked the financing and implementing agencies and all those who contributed to the success of the project.
