The Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB), with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), implemented a project to distribute the Joint Emergency Stock in a number of internally displaced persons camps in Marib city, as part of its ongoing efforts to improve the health and preventive conditions of displaced families.
The project targeted the following camps: Bir Al-Walidain, Sama Marib, Al-Jufainah (Block No. 15), Istanbul, Al-Hayat, and Awam. A total of 1,856 basic hygiene kits, 50 latrine sets, 9,280 chlorine strips, in addition to five water tanks, were distributed.
The activity aims to promote personal hygiene practices and public health among displaced families, and to reduce the risks of the spread of skin and gastrointestinal diseases associated with the lack of essential hygiene supplies in the camps.
Abdullah Naji, Health Sector Officer, stated that the intervention reached 1,856 displaced families, benefiting a total of 12,992 individuals, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable groups who face compounded challenges under harsh displacement conditions.
This activity is implemented within the framework of humanitarian collaboration between the Coalition of Relief and Building and the International Organization for Migration, as part of ongoing efforts to alleviate the suffering of displaced populations and enhance their resilience in addressing health risks amid the prevailing challenging humanitarian conditions.
