Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB), in partnership with Saylani Welfare International Trust, Pakistan, has begun conducting interviews with shortlisted applicants for the free training scholarship program “CODE,” which aims to equip 25 young men and women from Yemen with modern programming skills and empower them to enter the digital job market.
Earlier, CRB had announced the opening of applications for the program, which received hundreds of submissions from various governorates across Yemen. The applications were screened based on specific criteria, including educational background, English proficiency, technical skills, and the ability to commit to the 12-month training period.
Dr. Yousuf Al-Darawani, Program Director, explained that the current phase of interviews aims to individually assess the candidates’ abilities, ensure their alignment with the program’s criteria, and evaluate their genuine motivation to benefit from the training, all in preparation for selecting the final cohort set to launch in September 2025.
The training program covers three main tracks: mobile application development, web development and programming, and freelancing on global platforms. The program will be delivered directly by CRB under the supervision of certified trainers from Saylani Welfare Pakistan.
