Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB)       continues to deliver humanitarian and development projects across various Yemeni governorates, addressing the needs of vulnerable populations affected by the ongoing conflict.  

Projects Manager, Mr. Abdullah Naji, reported that the CRB’s projects during the first half of 2024 reached 135,602 families, comprising 857,403 beneficiaries from the most affected families in the communities.

Naji explained that the food security projects included the food baskets project, the distribution of hot meals, the distribution of bread, the distribution of dates, and the Zakat Al-Fitr project, and 127,601 families benefited from them, from displaced and affected families who lack food and basic materials.

As for shelter projects implemented by CRB, 1,534 displaced and affected families received assistance through housing unit establishment, temporary shelter distribution, and winter bag projects.

In the field of education, 160 families benefited from school establishment and women’s education support projects.

In the field of protection, CRB worked to implement  the projects of cash assistance, Eid clothing, and orphan sponsorship, with a total of 542 beneficiary families from poor and vulnerable displaced and affected families.  

As for CRB’s project in the field of livelihoods and economic empowerment, 4 families were empowered through income-generating projects, including a blacksmith workshop, vegetable and fruit shop, ceramic teeth factory, and beekeeping.

CRB also implemented projects in the field of water and environmental sanitation in a number of Yemeni governorates that suffer from difficulty in obtaining water. Over 5,761 displaced families and host communities benefited from artesian well drilling, tower tank construction, and watering projects. 

Dr. Kamal Al-Qudami, Head of CRB, expressed satisfaction with the success of these projects, highlighting their importance in improving the lives of poor families and alleviating their burdens stemming from the ongoing war Yemen.

Al-Qudami said in a press statement to the CRB Humanitarian Media Center, “CRB works through its humanitarian and development projects to achieve the principle of solidarity and provide relief to affected families in Yemen, especially in governorates that suffer from high levels of displacement and difficult conditions.”

The CRB’s Secretary-General, Mr. Muhammad Makharesh, extended his gratitude to partners who funded the CRB’s projects, expressing his great appreciation to all the parties that worked to overcome the challenges   to reach beneficiaries.  

Dr. Ezz Al-Din Mithqal, CRB’s Director-General appreciated the efforts of project managers, field workers, volunteers, and supporters who contributed to achieving these results during the first half of this year.

It is worth mentioning that Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB) has been working for years to contribute to improving the conditions of displaced and host families in the most affected communities in many governorates, and to provide part of their needs, to preserve their dignity, and enhance stability for them and their children, in light of the difficult living conditions experienced by Yemeni families.
