Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB) recently participated in a comprehensive training program, “Raising the Efficiency of Civil Society Organizations (First Phase),” organized by International Association for Relief and Development Organization (ONSUR) and ”Veysel Karani Vakfi”, in cooperation and supervision of  OCHA . The program, held from July 23-25, 2024, was attended by representatives of civil society institutions and organizations in Yemen, including Dr. Ezz Al-Din Mithqal, CRB’s Director General. 

According to those in charge of the program, it aims to enhance the capabilities of participating organizations and raise their level of efficiency to achieve sustainable development and enhance humanitarian and development work throughout Yemen, as well as enhance cooperation between civil society organizations and exchange experiences.

 At the closing ceremony of the program, which was attended by the Head of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Marib Axis, Mr. Saeed Musa, and the Humanitarian Coordinator at OCHA, Mr. Rashid Al-Dabei, the launch of  National Forum for Localizing Humanitarian and Development Work in Yemen was announced.

The National Forum for Localizing Humanitarian and Development Work aims to mobilize the efforts of organizations and civil society towards the process of localizing humanitarian and development work, and to create an incubating environment for civil society organizations to build capacities that lead to improving the localization process, and to network with stakeholders to find common points of convergence that accelerate the localization process.

The National Forum also aims to participate in moving the wheel of development through diverse interventions and building bridges between local organizations and international and donor agencies
