Carelessness about personal hygiene is causing severe health problems for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) who are already suffering because of the continuous conflict in the region which started almost seven years ago. Thus, Social Protection Unit of Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB) in collaboration with other community protection networks organized awareness sessions for 20 displaced women and girls in Al Kharashi camp, Al Wadi District, Marib. These sessions were held with the aim of raising awareness about maintaining personal hygiene.

In the session, topics like: personal hygiene, importance of cleanliness, correct way to wash hands and sterilization, paying attention to the cleanliness of the neighborhood and public places, were explained.

During this awareness campaign, respected Instructor Mrs. Amal Al-Samawi guided the audience about following topics: hand washing methods, the importance of using sterilizers, avoiding uncovered edibles as much as possible and placing the waste at the appropriate places.
She also talked about general hygiene and offered advice to the audience.

Participants appreciated this initiative and requested to increase such opportunities of awareness that is highly important and necessary for residents of the IDP camps.

At the end of the session: CRB thanked the attendees for their positive response and eagerness to participate in such awareness programs which are helpful to protect the society from different kind of risks and problems.
