The Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB) concluded today, in Marib, the training phase of the project aimed at economically empowering 30 women in confectionery production and entrepreneurship.
The project concluded with the distribution of vocational toolkits to the trainees, funded by the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, as part of an economic empowerment program aimed at supporting the most vulnerable families.
During the toolkit handover event, the Director of the Social Affairs and Labor Office in Marib, Mr. Abdulhakim Al-Qaisi, commended the project’s tangible impact in empowering women and supporting low-income families. He emphasized that such initiatives bring about meaningful transformation in the lives of beneficiaries and their surrounding communities.
Al-Qaisi stated, “This project represents an important step in strengthening women’s roles within society. Empowering women economically is an investment in family stability and community development. The practical results we witness today confirm the importance of sustaining such initiatives, as they provide women with real tools to move from dependency to productivity, and open broad horizons for building sustainable sources of income.” He also praised the efforts of the Coalition of Relief and Building and its partners for implementing this impactful program.
On the other hand, Dr. Youssef Al-Dharawani, the Director of the Economic Empowerment Program at CRB, affirmed that the distribution of vocational toolkits marks the culmination of an intensive training phase designed to transition beneficiaries from reliance to self-production and enhance their economic independence.
Al-Dharawani noted that CRB continues to implement programs targeting the most affected groups, particularly women from conflict-affected families and households with persons with disabilities who are victims of war, in an effort to improve livelihoods and foster more resilient communities.
He further stressed that supporting women entrepreneurs and expanding their income-generating opportunities are key pathways to promoting sustainable development and enabling families to rely on stable and enduring sources of income.
