Coalition of Relief and Building Djibouti office launched a pioneering project on Monday to support poor families in the Republic of Djibouti by providing them with sewing machines and orange juicers. Funded by a donor, the project aims to empower these families to generate sustainable income and enhance their living standards.
This effort is part of CRB’s broader efforts to promote decent living conditions and economic empowerment for the most vulnerable groups by providing productive tools that contribute to job creation and financial independence for the targeted families.
The project’s first phase targeted a number of low-income families in several poor neighborhoods in Djibouti, with future development initiatives aiming to further alleviate poverty and promote family stability.
According to Yasser Ali Abdulwahab, Director of CRB office in Djibouti, these projects will be a vital resource for families in need, enabling them to regain economic and social dignity and break free from reliance on temporary aid. He added that such projects also embody the spirit of social solidarity that CRB seeks to foster in societies.
