She reflects, \u201cI felt like a mother again.\u201d These words reflect a journey from pain to hope.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Amina once lived a simple life in her village in Raymah Governorate, collecting and selling firewood to provide for her family. She remembers those days with a sense of fondness: \u201cWe lived within our means. We worked hard, but we managed.\u201d But everything changed when the fighting approached their village.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>With deep emotion, Amina recounts: \u201cPrices skyrocketed, work disappeared, and the situation became terrifying. We decided to flee before it\u2019s too late.\u201d She moved with her children to Al-Kanatirat camp in Marib, where they lived in a tent that offered little protection from the sun and rain.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>When the rains fell, they swept away the last remnants of their hope. \u201cThe rain ruined everything,\u201d she says sadly. \u201cThe tent, our belongings, even the little food we had was all gone.\u201d Amina was forced to go out every day, asking for a bite of food or a piece of bread. With tearful eyes, she adds: \u201cNothing breaks your heart more than seeing your children go to sleep hungry, and being powerless to help them.\u201d<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Then came a helping hand of cash assistance stretecheing out in a moment of desperation. Supported by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) and implemented by\u00a0 Care and Coalition of Relief and Building (CRB), the cash assistance project gave Amina a chance to stand again.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Amina vividly remembers that turning point: \u201cThe moment I received the money, I went straight to the market. I bought flour and a small oven. I\u00a0 started baking bread for my children. At that moment, I felt like a mother again, I felt alive, like I could stand on my own two feet.\u201d<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Since then, her life has regained some stability. \u201cThe money wasn\u2019t just money, it felt like someone was saying, \u2018We see you. We feel your pain.\u2019\u201d Today, Amina uses the support to buy food, water, and other basic needs for her children.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>She proudly says: \u201cI no longer have to ask anyone for help. I can hold my head high, and my children go to sleep with full stomachs.\u201d<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Despite ongoing challenges, Amina continues to persevere, holding on to what remains of her dignity.
